Boutique Hotel Near Stamford StrEATeries

It won’t come as news to you that we’ve all had to adapt to a new way of life this wild and challenging year of 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic means social distancing is the name of the game. Here at The Lloyd, we’re taking rigorous measures to provide all of our guests with safe, comfortable boutique accommodations (you can learn about our COVID-19 protocol more right here).

In response to the COVID era’s complications, Downtown Stamford has implemented creative and welcome measures to both care for and entertain its visitors as well as support the diverse businesses that help make the city what it is. There’ll still time to experience the pleasures of Stamford StrEATeries with a Lloyd home base just a stone’s throw from the heart of the city center!

Stamford StrEATeries: Dining Out & Shopping in Downtown Stamford With Extra Elbow Room

A collaboration of the Stamford Downtown Special Services District and the City of Stamford, StrEATeries is an initiative—launched this past summer—that invites locals and out-of-town visitors alike to enjoy the restaurants, bars, and shops of downtown while maintaining social distancing.

The StrEATeries effort involves periodic, partial closures of such central thoroughfares as Main, Summer, and Bedford streets to provide more space for walking as well as al fresco dining courtesy of expanded outdoor tables and chairs.

StrEATeries also transforms part of the downtown parking area set between Bedford Street and the Bedford Garage into the “Bedford Piazza.” This fantastic hub offers open-air, streetside seating for such eateries as Mecha Noodle Bar, Bedford Thai, Bradford Bar & Grill, Tigin Irish Pub, Lorca, Capriccio Cafe, and Bedford Hall.
